When describing curved glass, some less common terminology is often required. Here are some of those briefly explained.
| Circumference | the outer boundary of a circle or circular shape | |
| Radius | the distance from the centre of a circle to the circumference. | |
| Girth | the measurement around the circumference (curve) | |
| Chord | a line between two points on the circumference. | |
| Length | the distance along the straight edge of the glass. | |
| Rise | the distance between the chord and the parallel tangent. | |
| Tangent | a straight line that touches the circumference of a circle. | |
| Degree (ơ) | the unit used to measure the included angle of a segment of a circle | |
